Having Clarity on what you want to do and going ahead and doing it are 2 very distinctive things that we must all consider.

‘Purpose’ is the reason for being.  This is the buzz word, and especially during this pandemic, most people have had these conversations with #self

?Do you know your reason for being?

?Are you intentionally seeking it?

?When you find it, what will you do?

Somebody said to me that I had found my #purpose – that I had found my #space

This made me think about what that meant for me.

Before I arrived here, I was going through the motions, not realizing that this was my calling.  I shared, mentored, trained, was present and gave of my time freely. The #clarity came much later, when I realized that I love to build people up.  I was happiest when doing this.  So I made it my goal.  Despite the distractions, I choose to stay true to .it

Intentionally Seeking it

This was challenging, because I felt that I was all over the place with helping to build people up.

?I was unfulfilled

?I felt like a fraud

? I was unhappy

I needed to focus on one thing and not multi-task my purpose.  It was then that I heard about the connection of purpose and values.  That living outside my values was retrogressive to any plans that I had.  I needed to align my goals with my values.  That started another journey of identifying my values.  I had difficult conversations with self, as to the things that I wanted in life.  I am still having these conversations.  I did not like the answers.  But now I knew what I needed to do.  I needed to work on self before helping others.

I found it, what now?

‘’Putting my money where my mouth is” really tested my resolve to follow my purpose.  It meant working on my action plans, and being accountable.  This was personal and I was my worst critic.  Scaling was a challenge, (and continues to be to this day), and I have had to come face to face with my limiting beliefs.

I enlisted the services of a coach, I poured out to her and she asked me questions, challenged me and kept me accountable.

? I learned that I was resilient

? I learned that I had what it takes

? I learned that I was my number one fan

What does this mean?

  1.  The best laid plans will go awry (adjust my sails)
  2. My Vision is bigger than my present situation (keep going)
  3. There is somebody out there who has travelled my path (learn from others)

Be stubborn about your goals and flexible about your methods
