Part Three: Doing
I recently did a LIVE session on #existing vs #thriving and my call to action was ‘stop being in it’.
This reminded me of my Business Management classes where my Professor would always insist that the focus was working on the #business and not in it. The thought process here is that when you work on the business, you have a visionary view, in fact, she called it the view from the top, this gave you an understanding of a bigger picture, allowing for thinking and strategy to lead and execute.
As a sole entrepreneur, I am everything in my company, apart from being the client. Though my years in the corporate world have given me an understanding of the different roles, and I have learned others along the way, I found that there is a danger of getting stuck doing the same thing over and over again. It is a state that limits or even kills #innovation and #creativity. This is an autopilot state and is akin to merely existing.
📌The really devastating part about operating on autopilot is that you don’t even know that you are doing it half the time. You are just going through the paces, not even aware that there is more. This applies to our personal lives too.
✔️My call to action is to stop being in it and to get on top of it. Get thinking, get energized, and get motivated. This will call for one to unlearn, learn and relearn. The way to live truly rewarding and fulfilled lives is to be totally aware of your here and now and have the agility to pivot. This is thriving.
✔️When we thrive, we are doing with intention. There is an intended outcome that we are working towards.
✔️Doing is the act of performing or executing that moves one forward and is very crucial for growth, and here read growth in all aspects of life.
In this chapter, we are considering action listing and we must strive to create and execute the list toward our goal. Making the list of actions #real and #achievable is one way to achieve your goal.
