Accountability

As I prepared for the final Master Class on #COREVALUES that I am running tomorrow ( Saturday 29th May), I found myself lost in thought on matters #accountability. What held my thoughts is the way accountability is tied to Core Values in such a profound manner, yet many a time, we gloss over it, using statements to justify the lack of it. When stating our values, one must differentiate between a concept and an action. It is unfortunate when one fails to act (action) on their values, especially so when they know what to do and are not doing it.

So what value are you failing to translate into daily actions? Perhaps it is ‘stepping up’? – Food for thought?

We all have responsibilities; however, we fall short when we do not ‘step up’. Thus leaving a gap for others to fill. This invariably births frustration, dissatisfaction, irrelevance and even hatred towards said others.

Lessons Learnt:
  1.  Be accountable through action.
  2.  ‘Step up’ into your role and responsibilities.
  3.  Own it, be impactful and leave a legacy.
